The designers Ivan Pericoli and Benoit Astier de Villatte value craftsmanship and are inspired by 19th century ceramics and long forgotten objects. Since the foundation of the brand in 1996, the activities of Astier de Villatte are diverse. While their works are centered around white ceramic ware, their creations include scented products, stationary, and furniture.

At their ceramic studio, which is the only studio in Paris inheriting Parisian traditional handicrafts from the 18th-century, tradition and modernism are combined, and Estampage decoration techniques are revived with contemporary taste. Their books are printed at a letterpress printing studio on the outskirts of Paris – the only studio remaining in France.
