Designer Bernhard Kühn was born in 1967 in Bavaria, Germany. He loved to play with soil from an early age, so it was very natural for him to start training as a potter. Later, he studied design at an art university in Paris, and has been producing his own pottery since 1993. The world of Kühn Keramik is magical, distorted, quirky, and mathematically twisted like Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland”, often helping us to perceive avante-garde and eccentric things. Life in the baroque palace and satirical quotes from the rich “golden age” are at the heart of Kühn Keramik’s works.
