Often, Melissa looks to the past for inspiration. “For me the past is a great source of inspiration. For example, a willow basket in the old days, which was used as a bowl to feed the horses while moving.” This is a perfect example showing how she captures beauty in a functional object, and skillfully transfers them into fashion items.
