The owner, Taiju Hayashi, is one of the advisers of Kiyosumi-Shirakawa, and is also one of the main contributors to the spark of the third-wave coffee business. You always see someone enjoying the coffee and chatting in this shop. From young generations to old ones, everyone in the city gathers around to enjoy the coffee. If you ask him what he recommends when you visit the shop, he would offer you the best one.
This home-roasted coffee shop has been mainly loved by the local people since it was opened in September 2013. However, due to the increase of Asian tourists for the past three years, it became a well-known coffee shop among Asian countries. Some major magazines in Shanghai, Seoul and Taipei gave spotlights to this coffee shop and that resulted in a massive increase in the number of visitors from Asia. You might have to wait for a while on Saturday or Sunday, but it still remains casual coffee shop.
“Even other local coffee shop owners in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa area often come to our shop to enjoy professional conversations about coffee. Sometimes they visit our shop for job-interviewing.” Taiju Hayashi, the owner of ARiSE COFFEE ROASTERS says. His gentle and considerate service attracts many customers. The most popular coffee beans are made in Dominica, which have floral flavor. Another unique coffee beans he recommends are from Thailand or Philippines. You can enjoy the taste of perfect balance between acid and grain. Taiju says, “Our shop is small but we do our best to make you feel comfortable with our coffee and relaxing atmosphere.”
